Ultimate Beatles Tour

Pool of Life Tours, in conjunction with award winning Myriad Travel, have designed the Ultimate Beatles Tour taking in Liverpool, Hamburg and London. All tours will be taken with an expert guide and all entrance fees are included - we can guarantee admission into John and Paul's childhood homes.

So, if you have dreamed of standing at the gates of Strawberry Field, walking down the Reeperbhan and strolling across Abbey Road, this is the tour for you.

Pool of life Tours have been running Beatles tours in Liverpool for the past 8 years and we are considered to be one of the finest and most in depth companies in the city (we work with the Cavern).

29th August 2016: Full Day Beatles Tour

A full day tour that gives you an insight into The Beatles formative years and takes you back to where it all began. You may know all the dates and songs, but it’s no substitute for standing at the gates of Strawberry Fields or in Paul McCartney's bedroom.
The day includes a visit to the little known Casbah Club. The Beatles performed there many times and even painted the walls and ceilings. Brother of Pete Best (the original drummer) will show you around the Casbah. Our guides are all Beatles fans too, often with their own Beatles’ stories to tell.

30th August 2016: Private transfer from Liverpool city centre to Manchester airport

Depart Manchester at 12.15 arrive Hamburg at 14.55 travelling in economy with EasyJet.

On arrival you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to the Kempinski Atlantic Hotel staying for 2 nights inclusive of breakfast

31st August 2016: Beatles Tour of Hamburg

Join an expert guide on a walk around the Reeperbahn, home to the Beatles on five visits over two and a half years. They played 93 nights in a row at the Top Ten Club in 1961 and all in all played 281 times, no wonder then that their music still echoes around the colourful streets and alleyways of the St Pauli district.

Just like Liverpool, Hamburg is an interesting and vibrant city in its own right.

1st Sept 2016: Private transfer back to airport

Depart Hamburg at 13.25 arrive London Heathrow at 14.10 travelling in economy with Germanwings

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Hilton London Hyde Park for 2 nights inclusive of breakfast

2nd September 2016: Beatles tour of London

London became home for The Beatles in 1963 a period of prolific recording and songwriting for the band. The venues connected with The Beatles in London are many. Our all day tour will include:

  • Abbey Road (of course)
  • Saville Row (site of the rooftop gig)
  • Historic street of the opening scene of Help.
  • Brian Epstein's flat
  • Ringo's Kings Road Apartment
  • Film locations for: Help, A Hard Day’s Night , The Magical Mystery Tour
  • The Indica Gallery
  • Beatles homes
  • Site of first Soho performance
  • The apartment where the Two Virgins photo was taken.
  • Former site of Apple Boutique
  • Site where promotional videos were made such as Rain and Paperback Writer

In the evening we will go to London's West End to see a 60's inspired musical (admission included)

3rd Sept 2016                          The Ultimate Beatles tour ends here but you might want to stay  in London a few days more before returning home or take the Rishikesh add-on (extra cost incurred, see details below).

This is the adventurous part. On to Rishikesh in India - home of the former Ashram of the Maharishi and to the Beatles for an incredibly creative 5 weeks (though it ended in tears and Ringo didn't last that long!) We will have a private tour of the Ashram with musical accompaniment and stroll the paths where The Beatles strummed acoustic guitars and wrote an estimated 48 songs and a large percentage of The White Album.
